A 27-year-old woman was hit by a car and killed on Monday night in Capitol Hill, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Firefighters responding to the collision had to extricate a person from under a Toyota Prius, according to a Seattle Fire Department incident tracker.
The crash took place near East Pine Street and Bellevue Avenue around 8 p.m.
The driver made a right turn from westbound Bellevue Avenue onto Pine Street when his Prius struck the woman crossing Pine Street, Seattle police said in a blotter post. The driver was not arrested and did not have signs of impairment, according to Seattle police.
A separate, unrelated vehicle extrication took place around 8:30 p.m. Monday at 160 Broadway, according to the incident tracker.
