A 31-year-old Longview woman was fatally struck on Tennant Way, also known as State Route 432, Monday morning.
The collision occurred at 4:27 a.m. at milepost nine, east of the Harry E. Morgan Bridge, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.
The speed limit for the highway section where the collision occurred is 55 mph.
A pedestrian, Lulu E. Starheart, 31, of Longview was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Tennant Way when she was struck by a freight truck, driven by James D. Keithley, 45, of Longview as he was traveling in the westbound lanes.
Starheart was subsequently struck by two other vehicles heading west: a Honda Accord driven by Sean M. McVicker, 33, of Kalama, and a Dodge Ram driven by Thomas R. Locke, 76, of Vancouver.
Starheart died at the scene, and her remains were sent to the Cowlitz County Coroner's office.
All the drivers were wearing seatbelts, and none sustained any injuries, the press memo states.
The cause of the accident is listed as pedestrian in the roadway.
