The Pe Ell girls basketball team is now 12-0 after its 54-26 win over Columbia Adventist on Tuesday.
The Trojans were in control the entire way, and for the first time this season, every Trojan got on the board.
“Tonight was a good team win,” Pe Ell coach Kelsey Lennox said. “Each girl contributed in various ways … We were also able to work on some different mixes of players on the court. We’re really just working on trying to get better and stronger as a team with every game.”
Peyton Zock recorded another double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and she also added two assists.
Devyn Shannon, Karli Phelps, and Emma Kissner all scored eight points. Phelps added five steals and four assists, while Shannon pulled down eight rebounds and blocked two shots.
Maisy King, Ava King, and Morgan Markee each scored four points. Maisy King grabbed 11 rebounds and had four assists, and Markee grabbed five rebounds and also had an assist.
Madi Engel added three points, while Kassidy Hayes scored two and Ruby Magruder scored one.
As a team, the Trojans tallied 18 assists and 17 steals.
Pe Ell (12-0, 5-0 1B CVL) will look to remain perfect on Thursday when they host Three Rivers Christian.
Pe Ell boys fall to Columbia Adventist
The Pe Ell boys basketball team didn't have as much success on Tuesday, falling to Columbia Adventist 59-37.
The Trojans trailed by just four after one, but went into halftime down 14. They got within 10 in the third, but the Kodiaks pulled away after that.
Calan McCarty led the Trojans with 14 points, while Blake Nelson added seven and Mauricio Morales added five.
Pe Ell (6-7, 3-2 1B CVL) will also be at home on Thursday to host Three Rivers Christian.
