Packwood Mountain Festival Returning After Two-Year COVID Hiatus

Posted

The Packwood Mountain Festival will be returning this April for the first time since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. The festival will be held on Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30, and will include live music on Friday evening and a fun run on Saturday morning.

Joss and Jeff, a husband and wife music team from Oregon who have previously played at the festival, will be playing on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the White Pass Country Historical Museum.

On Saturday morning, there will be a fun run that will begin in front of the Packwood Timberland Library. The race will begin at 9 a.m. and runners are encouraged to arrive and register before 8:30 a.m. The run will include a 5k, 10k and a 1k kid’s dash. The registration fee is $20 for the 5k and 10k for those registering prior to Friday, April 29. For those registering on Friday and on Saturday morning, the registration will be increased to $25. There will be awards given for first, second and third place finishers in each age group. The 1k kid’s dash, for children ages 11 and under, is free and starts at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. There is no late registration fee for the kid’s dash. Those competing in the kid’s dash can wear a fun costume or hat.

Entry fees for the fun run are non-refundable. For those whose entries are received later than April 1, souvenir T-shirts may not be available. Those seeking to enter the fun run are asked to enclose payment with their entry form, which should be mailed to White Pass Country Historical Society P.O. Box 958, Packwood.
