P-EBT Cards to Be Mailed Out in Coming Weeks

Posted

Washington state will begin distributing new pandemic electronic benefit (P-EBT) cards in the next few weeks for eligible families with school-aged children. Students will receive the cards if they qualify for free or reduced lunch and their school has reduced in-person hours.

P-EBT cards are a federal response to COVID-19 aimed at getting school children emergency nutrition benefits. In Washington state, they can be used just like SNAP/EBT cards.

According to Lewis County Public Health and Social Services, recipients can use their cards at farmers markets participating in the SNAP Market Match program, and can swipe each child’s card.  At Safeways, P-EBT cards can be used to receive Complete Eats coupons, redeemable for fresh produce.

Questions regarding P-EBT should be directed to 833-518-0282.
