Oregon man accused of breaking into women’s homes and climbing into bed with them

A Washington County grand jury indicted a Beaverton man last Friday on multiple sex-crime charges, accusing him of breaking into the homes of at least two women and climbing into bed with them as they slept.

Christopher Lloyd Rydman, 37, faces charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree sexual abuse and private indecency, court records show. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.

The Beaverton Police Department alleged in a statement that residential surveillance cameras captured Rydman on the night of Oct. 8 as he walked through central Beaverton neighborhoods and checked the door handles of several homes.

Police allege that Rydman broke into at least two homes, got into bed with sleeping women who lived in the homes and groped them.

Rydman was previously convicted of interfering with public transportation in May, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle in January and unlawful use of a weapon and menacing in 2019.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact Detective Paul Fleckenstein at 503-526-2267 or by email at pfleckenstein@beavertonoregon.gov.
