Fireworks seriously injured a firefighter in Estacada, Oregon, over the Fourth of July weekend, requiring hospitalization, officials said.
The Estacada Fire District confirmed the injuries in a statement but provided no details about where the incident happened or how the firefighter was injured. Officials haven’t released the firefighter’s identity.
The incident was one of several in Oregon over the holiday weekend that damaged property and injured or killed people. On Saturday night a motorboat crash near Sauvie Island killed a woman and injured four other people. In Lincoln City, a fireworks-started blaze led to a raging brush fire.
