Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Vancouver on Saturday for allegedly shooting and injuring another person that evening.
Jacob Orr, 27, is accused of first-degree assault, felony harassment and reckless endangerment for the shooting, which the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 8000 block of Northeast 142nd Avenue.
Officials provided few details about the altercation before the shooting, but said that the argument was about “juveniles riding dirt bikes on the street.”
Orr then fired off a single round from a .380 caliber pistol, officials said, which grazed and injured a person. Officials haven’t publicly identified the person Orr allegedly shot, or detailed their role in the alleged conflict.
Orr then fled the scene in a car, officials said, but deputies stopped and arrested him before he could leave the neighborhood.
The incident is under investigation.
