Onalaska High School class of 2026 back-to-school clothing swap to begin Sunday

The Onalaska High School class of 2026 has announced through a news release that its third annual back-to-school clothing swap will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, and will continue until 6 p.m.

The clothing swap will then continue from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday at Onalaska Middle School, located at 711 Quincy St., Onalaska.

The idea for the back-to-school swap started when Kaiyah Sandridge, now an Onalaska senior,  wanted a more ecologically responsible and economically impactful way for kids to get gently-used clothing, shoes and backpacks before going back to school, the news release stated.

The event is open to everyone. There have been donations for people of all ages, from infants to adults.

Community members in need of free clothes, or with gently-used clothes to donate, are invited to join this free community event.
