The Onalaska Loggers and the Toutle Lake Ducks were tied at 43 entering the fourth quarter, but a 16-7 fourth-quarter run by the Ducks sealed the game in a 59-50 win Thursday night.

Onalaska led 18-11 after one as Emalie Jacoby and Randi Haight got to work offensively, but Lainey Dean and Kendal Dean came alive in the second quarter to narrow the margin to five at halftime.

The Ducks tied the game thanks to 3-pointers by Kendal Dean and Payton Thayer, and in the fourth quarter, the Loggers offense fell flat and only scored seven points. Toutle Lake knocked down a couple more triples, and Sophia Spinneberg put up six of her eight points in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

“Tonight was a physical, intense game from the start, which was no surprise. It’s always a battle every time we play Toutle,” Onalaska head coach Alana Olson said. “The girls worked hard the entire game, but we have to get more efficient on the offensive end, especially down the stretch.”

Emalie Jacoby scored 16 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists. Renzy Marshall added 11 points and eight boards, while Kaiyah Sandridge put up seven points and eight rebounds.

Onalaska (3-3) will hit the road next week for a date with 2A Port Angeles on Monday and Forks on Tuesday.
