W.F. West and Centralia College alum Olivia Dean added one more accolade to her decorated senior year at Portland State, being named one of two Big Sky Conference Scholar Athletes of the Year for PSU.
Dean, who graduated with a degree in business administration: management and leadership last month, had been named to the Academic All-Big Sky team in all three of her seasons with the Vikings.
On the field, Dean finished with a .325 career batting average, and wrapped up her collegiate career with 48 stolen bases, a Portland State Division I record. She earned first-team All-Big Sky honors this past season after hitting .345, and made the conference All-Tournament team after racking up eight hits and four steals in the postseason.
