Oakville breezes past Wishkah Valley in three

The Oakville baseball team needed just three innings to take down Wishkah Valley on Wednesday, when the Acorns took down the Loggers 16-0.

Oakville scored seven in the first, three in the second, and six in the third to push the game into run-rule territory, and they collected 11 hits and drew eight walks in the process.

Isaiah Bird finished 3 for 3 with three runs batted in, and he scored three runs, and Dre Kluth also drove in three runs and finished with two hits.

Andres Rhoades, Gio Rodas, and Koner Burnett each drove in two runs and combined for four hits.

Joseph Charles and James Shields combined to no-hit the Loggers, with Charles striking out six in his two frames and Shields striking out two in his lone inning of work.

Oakville (3-3) will be back home on Friday to host Naselle.
