No injuries reported after abandoned structure catches fire in Centralia on Thursday

No injuries were reported after an abandoned structure fire caught fire along Harrison Avenue in Centralia Thursday night.

Personnel with the Riverside Fire Authority were dispatched to the fire, located at 2128 Harrison Avenue right next to a Riverside station, at 9:28 p.m. on Thursday, Match 7.

“Quite a bit of fire” was reported at the site, said Fire Chief Kevin Anderson.



While there were several structures adjacent to the burning building, crews contained the fire to the structure of origin and knocked it down by 9:48 p.m., according to Anderson.

Personnel remained on site for several hours to mop up the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
