A fire that broke out in the boiler room of Northwest Hardwoods in Centralia on Tuesday is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
Riverside Fire Authority personnel responded to the reported commercial structure fire involving wood products at Northwest Hardwoods in the 3000 block of Galvin Road at approximately 3:47 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29. The Chehalis Fire Department and the West Thurston Regional Fire Authority also responded.
“First-arriving units found smoke emanating from the building of origin — the fire was extinguished by on-site personnel and confined to the boiler room wall,” Riverside Fire Authority said in a news release.
The building’s wall and roof suffered fire damage.
“Roofing and insulation were removed to address potential extension and to ensure no fire/heat remained,” Riverside Fire Authority said in the news release.
