Back in June, Morton Nerd Pros co-owners Marcus and Alissa Read announced they had purchased a pair of Twin Cities businesses — AllTech Electronics in Centralia and Bigfoot Treasure in Chehalis — with the intention of opening a second Nerd Pros location in the area as Nerd Pros West.
They initially planned to have Nerd Pros West located at the old Bigfoot Treasure location.
But, given their desire to have more Warhammer battle map tables set up, they ultimately decided to house Nerd Pros West inside of AllTech’s old building instead, given the additional space inside.
Nerd Pros West is now located at 1610 S. Gold St. in Centralia, near the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. The Chronicle visited the trading card game (TCG) store on Friday, Sept. 18, to check out the new gaming hub.
Much like the Morton location, Nerd Pros West will also host Dungeons & Dragons sessions and various TCG tournaments on top of Warhammer tournaments. Nerd Pros offers TCG games including Magic: The Gathering, the Pokémon TCG, Disney Lorcana, the One Piece Card Game and more.
Nerd Pros West has also partnered with Hawks Sports Cards & More, which sells graded sports cards inside the Centralia business.
And given the additional space, there is also now a lounge set up with an old TV and VHS player, where former AllTech employee Matt Peterson — now part of Nerd Pros' ownership group together with the Reads and Damon Hanger — will continue AllTech’s vintage VHS club, where he and other customers would pop in an old VHS movie to watch in the lounge.
Nerd Pros West is also still selling many vintage VHS tapes, DVDs and Blu-rays like AllTech used to sell, along with vintage video games, consoles, accessories, collectibles and more.
“And yes — there is plenty of free parking, 3000 square feet of gaming is waiting for you!” Nerd Pros stated in a Facebook post announcing Nerd Pros West’s opening.
AllTech was owned by father and son Bill and Jeremy Haddox, and relocated to 1610 S. Gold St. in Centralia in 2021 after they lost their original location when the old Yard Birds shopping mall was closed without notice. It was a computer and electronics repair shop that also sold instruments, stereo systems, records, video games and other nerdy collectibles.
Both Bill and Jeremy decided to sell AllTech to pursue other interests — with Bill wanting to do some travelling and enjoy retirement while Jeremy wants to focus on doing more electronic repairs.
As for the Bigfoot Treasure location, it has been rebranded and is now called Folklore — A PNW Emporium. Bigfoot Treasure was an eccentric gift shop featuring everything from paranormal-themed novelty gifts to Bigfoot track castings. It was first opened in 2009 by Mitch Moberg, who had been looking for a new owner to take over since early in 2025 as previously reported by The Chronicle.
While the business’ name has changed, Marcus explained it will still be a gift shop centered around both Bigfoot and other local paranormal phenomena and history.
Nerd Pros West is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, follow the business on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/NerdPros or call 360-492-7060.
