The Napavine volleyball team snapped its nine-game losing streak on Thursday, sweeping Winlock 25-8, 25-9, 25-11.
“They played our game,” Napavine coach Monica Dailey said. “They kept the intensity on our side, they were hustling everywhere, they didn’t slow their play down, and they played hard the entire time … I was proud of them for that.”
Makayla Brett dished out 17 assists while adding nine digs and seven aces, while Holly Brockmueller delivered four aces without a service error. Anna Guenther also didn’t miss a serve.
Sophia Bittner had a “strong all-around night,” posting six kills and four digs, while Ava Ondong and Mya Garrett had “strong nights at the net” with six and five kills, respectively.
Napavine (2-9, 1-2 C2BL) will be at home again next Thursday, Oct. 16 to host Mossyrock.
