A nine-run fourth helped the Napavine baseball team pull away from Kalama on Monday, and the Tigers eventually topped the Chinooks 15-5 in six innings to get back in the win column.
The Tigers led 4-1 through three thanks to an RBI knock from Grady Wilson, an RBI walk from Jack Nelson, and an error, and the crooked number in the fourth helped break the game open.
Among the highlights in the frame were a two-run triple from Wilson, five RBI singles, including a two-run single from Pono Moniz-Taitague and a sacrifice fly.
Kalama was able to extend the game with four in the bottom of the fifth, but a Kalama error in the sixth allowed two runs to score to push the Napavine lead back to double-digits.
Wilson finished the day 3 for 3 and drove in four runs, while Beckett Landram and Layton Griffith collected two hits apiece.
Four different pitchers combined to allow just one earned run, including Griffith, who went the longest by pitching the first two and two-third innings of the game.
The Tigers (9-2, 7-0 C2BL) will hit the road again on Wednesday, when they return to C2BL play against Mossyrock.
