There have been 11 games the Tigers have played this spring and in their 10 wins, they’ve surpassed double digit runs and it continued on Friday with a 17-2, five-inning cruiser over the Chinooks at home.

In 26 at-bats, Napavine registered 13 hits, six walks and struck out just four times. It also stole eight bases, led by three each from Hudson Chambers and Cal Bullock. The Tigers (10-1) started out fast with a seven-run bottom of the first, added on four runs in the second and fourth innings and plated two in the third.

The opening six batters reached base in the first with Layton Griffith and Jackson Calder recording RBI two-baggers. Chambers and Grady Wilson each drove in three runs while Griffith, Bullock, Chambers, Tommy Deebach and Carter Edmonds had two hits apiece.

Griffith went the distance and struck out nine. Napavine will host Wahkiakum on April 13 after spring break concludes.
