Spurred by six scoreless innings in the circle by Taylor Tobin and five runs batted in from Avalon Myers, the Bearcats opened up the floodgates early and posted a 14-4 victory against the Wolves on Wednesday night in an Evergreen Conference showdown.

Tobin spun a gem, only allowing two hits and a walk to go alongside 11 strikeouts. The right-hander re-entered the game after four shutout frames and retired six of the final seven batters she faced.

W.F. West (5-4, 2-2 EvCo) struck for five in the top of the third and four more runs in the fourth. Myers registered a two-run double in both frames while Rayah Middleton and Karlee Coleman notched run-scoring hits. Myers hit a leadoff home run in the top of the sixth.

It was the heart of the order for the Bearcats of Myers, Coleman and Middleton that combined for seven hits, eight RBIs and six runs scored. Monroe Dalrymple added two hits for the Bearcats.

Black Hills (3-4, 1-3) recorded all four of its runs in the fifth. It loaded the bases with one out and cleared them on a wild pitch and Kiley McMahon drove in two. Kailey Miller ripped an RBI triple to cap the frame.

The Wolves travel to Shelton on Friday while W.F. West treks to Tumwater, also on Friday.
