The Morton-White Pass volleyball team made the most of its trek out to the coast Saturday, beating North Beach 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-16 in a non-league match.

It was nice to see the girls come out and have fun today not just in the game but on the long bus rides as well,” MWP coach Jamie Brazil said.

Kiera Miller had 11 kills and a block to lead at the net, while Maddie Clevenger had 10 kills, two blocks and an ace.

Ryelin Wiedenmann led the service effort with five aces, while Kimberly Gilstrap had four; both also posted three kills.

Malia Armstrong dished out eight assists, and McKenzee Mays and Amy Martinez both added seven.

The Timberwolves (4-4, 0-1 C2BL) will get back to league play with a match against Winlock on Tuesday.
