The Timberwolves went back above the .500 threshold with a non-league four-set victory over the Riverhawks 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 28-26 on Tuesday night in Toledo.
It marks the first time that MWP (3-2) has played a match this season that went beyond three sets. It continues the non-league slate on Wednesday against Napavine, then opens C2BL games at Toutle Lake on Thursday.
Toledo (2-5) was paced by Ellie Fallon’s double-double of 21 digs and 12 kills while Taysia Miller chipped in 12 digs and eight kills. Brenna Carver notched four aces for the Riverhawks. They nearly pulled off a chance at a reverse sweep, but missed the opportunity in the fourth.
Thursday opens C2BL action for the Riverhawks as well in hosting Napavine.
