Outscored in the final three quarters, the Timberwolves couldn’t get back in front and eventually dropped a 64-51 non-league game on Wednesday night at the hands of Willapa Valley in Morton.
It marked the final game in Morton for Kohen Ingalsbe, Michael Biacan, Gabriel Lisowski and Nate Lisowski. The latter Lisowski was just added to the varsity roster this week and saw the court towards the end.
“We’re battling every night, and it’s hard to do because we’ve only got one win under our belts,” MWP head coach Kevin Dunlap Jr. said. “I’m proud of the boys’ effort and how hard they’re playing. A lot of other coaches have commented on that throughout the season. I’m glad they’re still showing up.”
Logan Mays pocketed a game-high 22 points for the T-Wolves (1-14) thanks to four 3-pointers and Sebastian Gonzalez added 11. Willapa Valley took a 30-28 lead into the locker room and proceeded to score 34 in the second half.
The Timberwolves will look to get back on track when they take on Toutle Lake on Friday night in White Pass.
