The field in Morton resembled a Slip ‘N Slide on Tuesday, but the Morton-White Pass softball team was able to get a game in against North Beach, and the Timberwolves came away with a 14-10 win.

MWP gave up two in the top of the first, but scored five in the bottom half to take the lead. The T-Wolves added three more across the second and third, and pulled away with four in the fifth and two in the sixth.

The Hyaks rallied in the seventh with five runs, but it wasn’t enough to do anything more than make the T-Wolves sweat a little.

Bria Elkins pitched a complete game in the circle, giving up seven earned runs while striking out eight.

Ryelin Wiedenmann went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Kyra Bowen collected a pair of hits and brought home three. Izzy Loucks also had a pair of hits and she drove home two.

The Timberwolves (2-0) will hit the road on Wednesday for a doubleheader against Eatonville.
