A 51-year-old Chehalis man was airlifted to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma after crashing his motorcycle on state Route 508 in Lewis County on Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Antonio L. Hernandez was traveling west at mile marker 3, just east of Jackson Highway, when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a fence on the westbound shoulder, according to the state patrol.
The crash occurred just after noon.
The cause of the crash was speeding to fast for conditions, according to the state patrol, which said Hernandez could face a citation for negligent driving.
Hernandez, who was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson, was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Drugs or alcohol were not a factor, according to the state patrol.
