The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum (CCRM) will hold two Mother’s Day events on Saturday, May 10.
The first is an 11 a.m. Mother’s Day Brunch and Ride that will be catered by Chef Joy Templeton of Joy’s Once Upon a Thyme.
The menu will consist of “Chef Joy's selection of artisanal sandwiches quartered and presented for a delightful brunch experience,” CCR said in a news release.
Passengers can choose a vegetarian or protein option during ticket reservation.
The second event is a 3 p.m. Mother’s Day Tea ‘n’ Dessert Ride.
“Sip tea from vintage teapots and teacups while you enjoy a mouth-watering selection of dessert cakes,” CCRM said in a news release.
Coffee, apple juice and lemonade will also be available.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available on both rides, according to CCRM.
“A ride in the 1920s diner and the attached open coach makes this fun day a memorable experience. We’ll make your special someone feel special. You just provide the special company,” CCRM said in a news release.
Reservations are required for the brunch and dessert trains. Tickets are available at SteamTrainRide.com.
All trains depart the depot at 1101 SW Sylvenus St. in Chehalis, across from the Veterans Memorial Museum. Take Exit 77. Parking is free. The depot and trains are ADA-accessible, according to CCRM.
