The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad is celebrating Mother’s Day weekend with a special Mother’s Day Brunch and two-hour ride on Saturday, May 9, departing at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $59 per person. Children 2 and under are free. Reservations are required by May 3. Tickets are available at SteamTrainRide.com.
The gourmet brunch menu is created by Joy’s Once Upon a Thyme and includes a selection of sandwiches, including: chicken tarragon croissant; carver’s ham, cheese and fig; and turkey, cranberry and cream cheese.
Riders can also enjoy the vegetarian option, including cucumber and cream cheese on local sourdough bread, gourmet egg salad with a lemon-chive aioli on marbled rye, and vegan tomato field roast with artichoke tapenade on wheat bread.
All meals are served with organic mixed greens topped with fresh raspberries, red onion and toasted sliced almonds, served with signature fresh raspberry vinaigrette and accompanied by handcrafted marionberry and pecan scones.
Beverages include coffee, lemonade and water.
Locally crafted hard cider from 3 Dog Cider and Brewstillery will be available for purchase.
The train departs from the depot at 1101 SW Sylvenus St. in Chehalis, across from the Veterans Memorial Museum. Parking is free. The train is ADA accessible.
