A 64-year-old Mossyrock woman faces charges for allegedly threatening a police officer upon her arrest after making false claims to dispatchers and law enforcement.
Kimberly A. Doolittle made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court on Monday, Oct. 27.
She’s charged with one count of intimidating a public servant, a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines, and one count of making a false or misleading statement to a public servant, a gross misdemeanor punishable by up to 364 days in jail and $5,000 in fines.
According to court documents, “Doolittle has been a perpetual problem (for the Morton Police Department) over the past several years.
She calls dispatch repeatedly and falsely reports, which ties up the dispatch system and the police department’s limited resources.”
The Morton Police Department provides coverage for the City of Mossyrock.
Doolittle has no felony convictions, but has been accused of making false reports in the past, according to court documents. She has also been convicted for driving under the influence.
During the preliminary hearing, Judge Paul Strophy ordered a competency evaluation to be completed by Western State Hospital. He set bail at $20,000 cash or bond.
An arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 6. Chris Baum has been appointed to represent Doolittle.
According to court documents, Doolittle will also be evaluated by a designated crisis responder.
