In its second game at the Mount Vernon Christian Holiday Hoops Tournament, the No. 6 Mossyrock boys basketball team defeated the host Hurricanes, 76-58, Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings blitzed the Hurricanes early with 22 first quarter points, and never looked back in the win. Keegan Kolb led the way with 23 points on 10 made baskets, Zackary Munoz dropped 13 points, and Easton Kolb and Matt Cooper had 11 each in a balanced effort.

We came out with energy and were efficient on both ends of the floor,” Vikings assistant coach Kelly Ross said. “It was a nice win in a hostile environment. We were able to implement multiple defenses forcing them to adjust. Easton and Keegan Kolb provided offense in the third quarter to help us extend our lead.”

The Vikings will hope to leave the tournament unbeaten for their last game on Friday against an opponent to be determined.
