The Mossyrock girls basketball team traveled south to take on Toutle Lake on Thursday, and the Vikings took down the Ducks on the road 46-35.
The Vikings took a 10-4 lead after one, and they held onto a four-point lead going into the fourth. In the final frame, they hit a pair of threes and went 6 for 10 at the free-throw line to seal the game.
“Our girls played hard tonight defensively, and we did a good job taking care of the ball against their press,” Mossyrock coach Nick Rashoff said. “It was the most complete game we have played so far. The effort was outstanding.”
Kendall Cournyer led Mossyrock with 12 points, while Adyson Barrows added 10 and Chesney Schultz added eight. Calliope Schultz and Maci Rashoff both scored six, and Taylor Schwartz tallied four.
The Vikings (8-7, 3-2 C2BL) will be back home Tuesday to host Adna.
