Mossyrock puts up 20-plus hits, runs, stolen bases to beat MWP

The Vikings stuffed their scorebook on Saturday afternoon, piling up 27 stolen bases and 21 hits to blow by the Timberwolves 25-2 in five innings at home. In three matchups between the East Lewis County rivals, Mossyrock has outscored MWP 58-4.

Already up 4-0 in the first, Mossyrock (5-8, 1-3 C2BL) put up an 11-spot in the second to take full control of the contest. Zoella Zavodsky, Sadi Rashoff and Annika Ball each had two-run hits in the frame with Ball launching a home run.

Six more runs were added in the third and the final four runs came in the fourth. KK Brown finished with three hits, three runs scored and six stolen bases for the Vikings. Callope Schultz went 4-for-4 in the leadoff spot with five runs while Zavoddsky drove in five on three hits.

MWP (5-7, 0-4) scored its lone runs on a Katie Jordan two-run double in the third. The Timberwolves will look to get back on track at home versus Toledo. Meanwhile the Vikings will hit the road to battle Rainier. Both games took place on Monday.
