The Vikings registered 24 aces to just five errors and coupled with a balanced attack at the net, they put up a thrashing against the Cardinals 25-1, 25-7, 25-8 in the C2BL opener at home on Thursday night.
Adyson Barrows and Leah Contreras led the way for Mossyrock (5-3, 1-0 C2BL) with 15 combined aces and both tallied eight digs apiece. Five others tallied at least once and Contreras was a perfect 26-of-26 from the service line.
Kendall Cournyer led the attack with seven kills and Calliope Schultz distributed 25 assists. Mossyrock will have back-to-back non-league games versus Hoquiam and ACCA on Monday and Tuesday.
Winlock (0-7, 0-1) has yet to win a game all season long. It will turn around and host Morton-White Pass on Tuesday night.
