A big first inning from Toutle Lake was too much for Mossyrock on Monday, when the Vikings lost 12-2 at home to the Ducks in a Central 2B League matchup.
Toutle Lake scored seven runs in the top of the first, added an eighth run in the second, and put four more across in the third to build a 12-0 lead.
Mossyrock was able to score twice in the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to force a sixth inning.
Kevin Mitchell and Gunnar Callies picked up Mossyrock’s two hits, and Callies and Kyle Brockway scored the Vikings’ two runs.
Mossyrock (0-6, 0-6 C2BL) will head to Adna on Wednesday.
