Fueled by a balanced offensive attack and just seven service errors, the Vikings pieced together a 25-10, 25-20, 25-9 victory over the Beavers on Monday night in Tenino.
Adyson Barrows and Kendall Cournyer each slammed down seven kills while Maci Rashoff added four. Barrows also had five aces and Calliope Schultz fired in three to pair with double digit assists.
Tenino, with one senior in its rotation, was led by Kate Burkhardt three kills, two assists and two blocks. Freshman Violet Zimmer had four blocks.
“They have the ability to have the will to win,” Beavers head coach Shauna Carpenter said. “Once they get the confidence and see what they’re capable of, they’ll be just fine.”
Tenino continues a stretch of four games in four days on Tuesday versus Eatonville while Mossyrock travels to Black Hills on Wednesday.
