Behind a 17-point outburst in the final eight minutes, the Vikings pulled away from the Class 2A Spudders to leave with a 51-44 triumph at home on Monday night.
Adyson Barrows led Mossyrock with 18 points and hit three free throws in the fourth. Taylor Schwartz chipped in 12 and Maci Rashoff added 11. The Vikings were tied after the first quarter and third quarter.
They battled through two starters with ankle ailments, which left head coach Nick Rashoff impressed. Mossyrock will take on Morton-White Pass on Friday.
“I was happy with our effort and perseverance,” he said. “It was a team effort for sure, we need to get healthy now and get ready to go for the last couple weeks of the regular season.”
