The Morton-White Pass volleyball team’s season came to an end in Forks on Saturday, as the Timberwolves were swept by Toutle Lake, 25-16, 25-11, 25-22, in a 2B District 4 pigtail game.
“I feel like we came in really strong,” Morton-White Pass coach Jamie Brazil said. “We just missed some crucial serves and we couldn’t catch back up … It was a bummer, but Toutle played well.”
Ryelin Wiedenmann led the way with 14 digs and 12 kills, while Malia Armstrong also finished with 14 digs. Brooklyn Montoure added five kills and five aces while missing just one serve, and Kiera Miller logged four kills.
Brazil admitted that she wasn’t ready for the season to come to an end, but she also acknowledged that she’s proud of the strides the T-Wolves made this season. Just two of them had reached districts before, and they’ll only graduate three seniors — Sohpia Weber, Madyson Bryant, and Miller.
“I think we have a really young team and I was excited to get to districts to build on that foundation,” Brazil said. “I feel like next year we’re gonna be back even stronger.”
Morton-White Pass finishes its season 7-9.
