Whether you’re a fan of obscure motorsports like lawnmower racing or a fan of axe throwing, birling, speed climbing and other logging sports, the Morton Loggers Jubilee — also known as the “granddaddy of all logging shows” — will be returning to the East Lewis County community for its 82nd annual run from Aug. 7 through Aug. 10.
Not only will attendees be treated to watching logging sports in what organizers claim is the largest and oldest logging show in the Pacific Northwest — but a parade, both lawnmower and bed races, Loggers Jubilee royalty coronation ceremony and fun run are also planned for the weekend-long event.
The lawnmower races and logging show will be held in the Jubilee Arena, located at 451 Knittles Way in Morton.
The grand marshals for this year’s Loggers Jubilee Grand Parade will be Janet and Greg Norris, and the parade’s theme is “Long Live the Lumberjack and the Log-Haulers.”
Additionally, dozens of vendors and artisans will also be on hand throughout the weekend for the Jubilee Flea Market held in the field south of the Morton Country Market.
