Moonstruck Studio to celebrate anniversary in downtown Centralia

A downtown Centralia jewelry studio is preparing to celebrate its one-year anniversary.

Moonstruck Studio, located at 320 N. Tower Ave. Suite 101, will mark its first birthday with specials and events Oct. 16-18.

Owner Sarah Hoium said she’ll kick the celebration off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. The ceremony will be followed by a small birthday celebration and an exclusive first look at the expanded Charm Bar.

“This portion of the weekend is invitation-only for friends and fellow local business owners,” Hoium wrote in an email to The Chronicle.

The public celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.

Walk-in customers are welcome, with no appointment needed.

“We’re also using the anniversary as an opportunity to launch some exciting new additions to the studio,” Hoium said.

The additions include:

• Expanded Charm Bar: New charms, chains and accessories, including tote bags, bag patches, car accessories and more.

• Custom engraving: A brand-new service allowing customers to personalize jewelry with names, handwriting, special dates and other meaningful details.

• Birthday Gifts: Customers who spend $50 or more will get to pick a birthday present.

• Goodie bags and treats: Special birthday goodie bags while supplies last, plus sweet treats and a few other surprises throughout the weekend.

“The entire weekend is really about celebrating our first year, thanking the community for their support and sharing some of the exciting things I’ve been working on,” Hoium said.

Moonstruck Studio showcases curated jewelry designed to reflect each individual's unique energy, intention and style, the news release from the chamber stated last year.

Over the years, Hoium has featured her collection at night markets in Olympia, local festivals in Centralia and outdoor markets across Washington.

Among her most popular offerings is the Charm Bar, where customers can select their own charms and watch as Hoium assembles a custom necklace or bracelet on the spot.

“These were so popular that the ‘Charm Bar’ became a central feature of my store,” Hoium said when the business opened in 2025. “Opening a permanent location has been a dream come true, and I knew this Tower Plaza space was the perfect fit.”

Moonstruck Studio and its Charm Bar are also available for private parties — ideal for bridal showers, girls’ nights or visitors seeking a fun and memorable creative experience.

In addition to jewelry, the boutique features a curated selection of crystals and gifts available for purchase.
