Jaxon Martinez and Hayden Templeton impressed at the Rocky Mountain National Aztec Warrior Championships in Farmington, New Mexico this weekend, sweeping their two divisions.
In the Rookie 8U 46 and 8U 46 divisions, Templeton earned two championship titles, winning all six of his matches. Five of his ways came via pin. In the sixth, he stayed aggressive, earning a tech fall to round out the weekend of “total control,” according to coach Tyler Ragsac.
Martinez mirrored that excellence in the 7U and 8U 58-pound brackets. He “combined raw power with technical execution,” winning all eight of his matches, notching four pins and a major decision.
