The Mat Rats Rebooted wrestling team made their mark last week in both Idaho and Washington, bringing home multiple podium finishes at the Cradle for the Cure Tournament in Caldwell, Idaho and the WSWA Puget Sound Championship Freestyle Tournament in Federal Way.
It was a family affair in Caldwell, as cousins Addie Ojard (8U 68 and 10U 67), Charlie Ojard (Girls 6U 43), and Kane Ragsac (6U 45) took home second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
In Federal Way, six Mat Rats placed first to help the team secure a third-place finish with 227 team points.
Liam Clark (FS 12U 86), Carter Hedden (GR 12U 82), Ritchy Montano (FS 12U 67), Myryn Phillips (FS/GR 10U 63), Kataleana Warner (FS Girls 6-8 102) and Charlie Wheeler (FS Girls 6-8 113) finished first.
Tucker Eisenmann (FS 12U 86), Phoebe Halsey (FS Girls 6-8 87), Kyler Johnson (FS 14U 225), Myryn Phillips (GR 12U 69), Cameron Reeson (FS Girls 3-5 83), Kaleb Sutton (FS 12U 152), Duncan Weaver (FS 12U 92, GR 12U 89) and Charlie Wheeler (FS Girls HS 115) placed second.
Tucker Eisenmann (GR 12U 74), Ritchy Montano (GR 12U 69), Myryn Phillips (FS 12U 67) and Duncan Weaver (FS 12U 86) placed third, while Patrick Gibbs (FS 12U 92) and Kyler Johnson (FS 16U 184) took fourth and fifth.
