In one last tuneup before the state tournament, the Twin City Wrestling Club wrestled at the Battle of the Woods Sunday in Eatonville.
The Mat Cats finished fourth as a team, coming away with 23 medals. Seven Mat Cats won their age and weight divisions. Winning individual titles were Mateo Escalera (6U 46), Cohen Jewell (8U 70), Mali Phillips (10U 71), Connor Rapp (12U 117), Gunnar Vlach (12U 135), Brody Sayers (16U 140), and Lucy Hornby (Girls MS 120).
Six other Twin City wrestlers earned silver medals, with ten Mat Cats getting bronze.
Next up for the Twin City Wrestling Club is the WSWA Folkstyle State Championships next Sunday at the Tacoma Dome.
