Mark Allen Griffith was born in Pasco, Wash., July 24, 1947. The family settled in Centralia, Wash., where he lived much of his life. Two things that Mark, aka “Griff”, was known for, was his love for basketball, which he instilled in all of his kids, and jokes! Dad did not let a day go by without telling someone a joke or a funny story reminiscent of his past. Mark spent a good amount of time visiting his brother, Kim, where they would try to out joke/story each other. This is the person we should remember. Mark was a straightshooter and I think most people appreciated it (insert wink).
Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl in 2009; his son, Erik in 1996; his brother, Kurt in 1998; and his grandson, Stephen in 2018.
He is survived by his sons, Bryan and Mike; and daughter, Paige; brothers, Kim and Gregg; and sisters, Karen and Jan; grandchildren, including Justine, Nina, Christopher, and Vaughn; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his nieces, Rhonda and Sandra, who helped a great deal supporting all of us. If you would like updates on the celebration of life, please “friend” Griff Allyn on Facebook.
