A man was shot to death Tuesday in Southeast Portland, police said.
Officers arrived in the 1700 block of Southeast 139th Avenue shortly before 5:30 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the man dead.
Officials provided no details about the shooting or the initial investigation. No arrests have been made, and police have not released the name of the victim.

If ruled a homicide, this will be the 45th of the year in Portland. There had been 69 homicides in the city at this time in 2024.
