A 45-year-old man was injured in a four-vehicle crash caused by a vehicle knocking over a light pole on southbound Interstate 5 near Castle Rock on Thursday.

The crash was reported at approximately 5:51 a.m. on May 29.

The man, identified by the Washington State Patrol as Ryan M. Guerini, of Stevensen, was reportedly driving a blue 2025 Ram 1500 when his vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder of southbound I-5 at milepost 48 and crashed into a light pole.

The light pole reportedly fell into the roadway, blocking the right lane. A semi-truck driving behind Guerini reportedly swerved into the center lane to avoid the light pole and crashed into another semi, which swerved into the left lane and struck a gray 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

Guerini was the only one injured in the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol, which has determined that drugs or alcohol were not involved in the incident.
