Officials say a motorcycle accident injured an Olympia man late Saturday night on Interstate 5 near Castle Rock.
Paul D. Coalman, 40, was speeding on southbound I-5 just north of exit 48 for Castle Rock's business loop when, at around 11:30 p.m., he lost control of his Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle and hit the pavement, ejecting Coalman, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.
The motorcycle was totaled, the memo states, and Coalman, who was wearing a helmet, was transferred to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview due to injuries.
Troopers report neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash, but the exact cause is under investigation.
