Man Airlifted After Falling Asleep at Wheel, Crashing Into Pickup Truck on U.S. Highway 12


A man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 12 at mile marker 69 early Wednesday morning.

Lewis County Fire Protection District 5 was dispatched to the wreck at 5 a.m. on July 21.

The driver of the pickup was uninjured, but the man driving the car had to be extricated from his vehicle before he could be transported via airlift for medical treatment.
