A Portland man accused of fatally shooting a 14-year-old last year now faces new charges in a separate alleged violent-crime spree in February.
Aquize Gerrian Tyquan Logan, 25, has been charged with first-degree rape and kidnapping, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy, first- and second-degree assault, first-degree burglary, strangulation and unlawful use of a weapon in the Feb. 27 attack that led to his arrest, according to an indictment filed Tuesday.
The indictment alleges that Logan kidnapped, assaulted and tried to kill a woman in the Richmond neighborhood in Southeast Portland. Police arrested Logan Feb. 27 on a warrant for the killing of 14-year-old Marik Roscoe inside a home in Southeast Portland on Nov. 16, court records show.
A 17-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man also were wounded in the November shooting. A 19-year-old suffered injuries but not from gunshots, according to police. Court records allege that Logan pistol-whipped him.
Prosecutors are accusing Logan of first-degree murder, attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree burglary and first-degree assault, among other charges, in the case from November.
Logan was previously convicted of first-degree rape and strangulation in 2023.
