Bail is set at $10,000 for a man accused of breaking into his family’s house in Centralia on Saturday and passing out on the bed.

Carson Dee Pendleton, 29, of Centralia, allegedly damaged the door to a residence in the 1300 block of Rose Street in Centralia to gain access to his family’s home, which he was trespassed from.

Pendleton’s sister called the police just after 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 3 to report that Pendleton had broken a door latch, illegally entered the home, and was currently asleep on the bed.

Pendleton was still asleep in the bed when a Centralia Police Department officer arrived, according to charging documents. Burnt foil and other drug paraphernalia was reportedly found around him.

Pendleton was booked into the Lewis County Jail at approximately 2:31 p.m., according to jail records.

He was charged Monday in Lewis County Superior Court with one count each of residential burglary, third-degree malicious mischief and possession of a controlled substance.

Arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 8.
