East Lewis County pet owners looking to save some gas traveling to a veterinarian for their pets’ vaccines will have the opportunity to get them taken care of this Saturday, July 18, at Longmire Springs Brewing in Packwood, according to a Facebook event set up by the microbrewery.
The microbrewery will be hosting staff from the Eatonville Vet Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Staff from the clinic will be offering vaccines for both cats and dogs, along with other basic veterinary services.
Available for dogs will be the rabies, bordetella (kennel cough) and DA2PP vaccines, $30 each, and the lepto vaccine for $20.
For cats, the rabies, feline leukemia and FVRCP vaccines will all be available for $30 each.
Other basic veterinary services available Saturday include deworming, ranging between $10 and $40 depending on the animal’s weight, microchipping for $40, a brief overall exam for $40 and various flea and tick prevention options ranging from $70 to $175.
No appointment is needed, and vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to Longmire Springs Brewing’s website.
Then, also on Saturday at Longmire Springs Brewing from 6 to 9 p.m., patrons are invited to express their artistic side with their pets as inspiration in “Paint Your Pet” event.
Cost to participate is $50 per person, and that includes all art supplies needed, including the participant’s choice of an 8-by-10 or 10-by-10 canvas, and one complimentary drink from Longmire Springs Brewing.
“All ages welcome — bring a photo of your pet and Michele will guide you step-by-step to paint your own keepsake portrait,” the microbrewery posted on Facebook. “Whether it’s the family dog, a beloved cat, or that goat who thinks he’s a dog, come create something you’ll treasure for years to come — all while sipping a cold one at the brewery.”
Longmire Springs Brewing is located at 112 Norman Way in Packwood.
