The Onalaska volleyball team snapped a short two-game skid on Thursday, sweeping Mossyrock 25-15, 25-18, 26-24 in a non-league affair

“It was nice to come out ready to play tonight,” Onalaska coach Susan Gordon said. “Our defense is continuing to get better. We played as a team tonight, not as individuals trying to work together.”

Emalie Jacoby tallied a team-high 29 digs defensively, and she also added 10 kills and three aces on offense. Renzy Marshall had a nice night on both sides, logging 11 kills and 11 digs, while Kori Navolynski and Capri McGraw had seven kills apiece.

Sommer Hammer had four blocks at the net, and Karsyn Koenig added three.

Adyson Barrows led the Vikings with 15 digs and seven kills, while Taylor Schwartz finished with 14 digs and three aces. Kendall Cournyer notched nine digs and a block, Brooke Schwartz hit double-digits defensively with 10 digs, and Calliope Schultz dished out seven assists.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday. Onalaska (2-2) will head to Toutle Lake, while Mossyrock will host Rainier. Both of those games are also non-league matchups.
