The Onalaska girls basketball team put a full game together and came away with its first win of the season on the road Wednesday, beating South Bend 50-29.

“Tonight was a great team win,” Onalaska coach Alana Olson said. “We finally played four solid quarters of basketball. I’m proud of the girls for being focused and ready to play from the tip-off to the final buzzer.”

Brooklyn Sandridge paced the Loggers with 21 points, and made it a double-double with 10 steals on the defensive end.

“She was all over the place on defense tonight,” Olson said.

Cierra Berg added 11 points as the only other Logger to hit double figures. Kiley Talley led Onalaska on the glass with 13 rebounds, and Randi Haight secured 11 boards of her own.

Onalaska is set to return to Central 2B League play after the new year turns over, facing Adna on Jan. 4.
